Climate proofing seeks to ensure that infrastructure is resilient to the potential impacts of climate change while ensuring that GHG emissions from projects are consistent with the EU and Spanish decarbonization objectives. This webinar provided an overview of the EC climate proofing methodology, its implementation in s projects in Spain, providing practical insights and examples.

The aim of climate proofing is to guarantee that infrastructure can withstand the anticipated effects of climate change, while also ensuring that project-related greenhouse gas emissions align with both EU and Spanish decarbonization targets. During the session, participants received an overview of the EC’s climate proofing methodology and its practical application in Spanish municipal solid waste project, including real-world examples and practical recommendations.
