EIB Advisory JASPERS | 2024 in Focus: Quick Facts

In 2024, JASPERS, the EIB's largest advisory initiative, continued to provide essential support for the preparation and implementation of EU-funded projects under the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), and Just Transition Fund (JTF). Throughout the year, our efforts were dedicated to building capacity, enhancing project quality, and offering support across a wide range of sectors. This demonstrates our alignment with EU and EIB priorities and our adaptive approach to addressing evolving challenges.

In 2023, the Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions — better known as JASPERS — helped many projects prepare for implementation and obtain financing from European funds. Later on, some of these projects may also receive funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB). JASPERS is the EIB’s largest advisory programme, run by the Bank and funded by it and the European Commission. Since 2005, JASPERS has worked on projects worth a total of over €317 billion in 27 countries, including EU Member States and pre-accession and Eastern Partnership countries. We simplify complex EU policy objectives and offer project advice and technical training to national, regional and local authorities and other beneficiaries of EU funds and EIB investments. We help our partners build sustainable transport links, reduce pollution and cut fossil fuels. We also support them as they expand innovation, improve healthcare and advance the green transition.
