Our work in Armenia started in 2023 through an assignment to update the feasibility study to develop the Gyumri road bypass.
The Gyumri bypass is part of the North-South Road Corridor, a crucial component of Armenia's transportation infrastructure. Designed to meet modern standards, this corridor is expected to stimulate Armenia's economic growth and enhance its integration with the global community. It traverses the entire country, from the border with Iran at Meghri to the border with Georgia at Bavra, passing through significant cities such as the capital Yerevan and the second largest city Gyumri, which is a prominent tourist destination.
The construction of the Gyumri bypass road section is prioritized by the Government and included in the country's Five-Year Action Program 2021-2026. This assignment is supported through our EPIC facility.
